Branding & Packaging

1) Brand placement on product

  • Wood branding: CO₂-laser burn on underside/edge, CNC relief logo, hot-stamp on leather pulls, screen/UV print on back panels, inlay medallions (brass/bone/resin).
  • Metal branding: laser etch on frame legs, silk-screen on powder-coated parts, riveted nameplates, cast badges for bases.
  • Soft parts & accessories: woven labels on cane/webbing, stitched leather tabs, embossed gift tags, debossed care/warranty card.
  • Hidden traceability: micro-etch/inkjet lot code on inner rails for QA.

Artwork specs: vector (AI/EPS/PDF), fonts outlined; min line width wood 0.2 mm, metal 0.3 mm; recommended logo zone ≥ 12×12 mm; supply Pantone references for spot colours.

2) Finish & collection consistency

  • Stain control: finish drawdowns + ΔE ≤ 2.0 to master chip; gloss tolerance ± 3 GU (10/20/30/60).
  • Grain & veneer: book/quarter match maps; edge-lipping colour matched; orientation callouts on doors/drawers/tops.
  • Metal frames: powder-coat RAL control; texture (fine/matte) locked; weld grind + radius standards for hand feel.
  • Series language: common pulls/knobs, leg geometry, colour bands & icon set across cartons for a cohesive family on the shelf.

3) Retail & D2C pack architectures (choose per SKU)

  • KD / Flat-pack (most furniture):
    • Components poly-bagged, edge-protected, separated by corrugate/honeycomb pads.
    • Hardware kit in labelled polybags (A/B/C…), blister or carton with +2% spares; Allen key & tool list included.
    • Assembly manual (pictorial) + QR to video; “Open this first” red pouch.
    • Box carries “Box x of y” for multi-carton sets (e.g., bed head/rails/slats).
  • Pre-assembled (small case goods/chairs):
    • Foam-in-place/EPE blocks, corner boards, anti-scuff non-woven bag; strap-ready master.
  • Club & store displays:
    • Printed shelf panels with lifestyle imagery, call-outs (solid wood/KD/soft-close).
  • Smalls & accents (shelves/hooks/trays):
    • SRP/PDQ trays with tear-away fronts; blister cards for hooks/knobs.

Print options: CMYK or Pantone spot, kraft/white/duplex, soft-touch/linen varnish, hot-foil on giftables, soy inks on FSC boards (see Sustainability tab).

4) Protection inside the box (by material)

  • Wood surfaces: non-woven bag + foam sheet + corner/edge protectors; top & face kept off walls with honeycomb spacers.
  • Metal frames: EPE sleeves + plastic caps on sharp ends; anti-rust oil wipe or VCI paper for long transits.
  • Glass/stone inserts: separate inner with die-cut foam, gasket rings, corner guards; “Do not lift by top” pictos.
  • Mirrors/doors: H-guarders + diagonal strap; handle/hinge protectors.
  • Moisture control: silica gel sized to pack volume; anti-mould sachets (DMF-free).
  • No metal-on-wood contact anywhere in pack to prevent transit burnishing.

5) E-commerce & SIOC readiness

  • ISTA 3A / 6-Amazon pack designs for parcelable SKUs; heavy-bulky protocol for >31.5 kg.
  • 10-drop test & compression/BCT checks; drop-test video on request.
  • Volumetric optimisation: dielines tuned to courier tiers; flat-pack density models for 40HQ fill.
  • Return-friendly: reseal strip, inner repack map, spare hardware pouch.

6) Master carton & palletisation

  • Cartons: 5-ply BC-flute (ECT 44) for standard; tri-wall or reinforced corners for heavy tops.
  • Weight targets: parcel ≤ 30–35 kg per carton; apply Team-Lift / Two-Person Lift labels when above.
  • Marks: SKU, finish/colour, dims, GW/NW, “This Side Up”, “Do Not Clamp”, COO, barcodes (unit & master).
  • Pallets/containers: no overhang; corner boards + straps + stretch wrap; slip-sheets for glass/stone; container lashing & desiccants; ISPM-15 pallets for export.

7) Barcodes, labels & store requirements

  • UPC-A / EAN-13 on unit + master; ISO/IEC 15416 grade B or better.
  • Marketplace: FNSKU/ASIN, carton IDs, transparency codes (if used).
  • Safety/warnings (as applicable): tip-over hazard & wall-anchor label for dressers/wardrobes; small-parts warning for hardware bags; load/weight icons for shelves.
  • Country-of-origin printed or branded on product & carton.

8) Manuals & brand collateral

  • Pictorial assembly manuals (multi-language, tool call-outs, step-checks, torque hints), A4/A5; QR to 60–90s video.
  • Care guides: wood care (sunlight/heat/humidity, cleaning), metal frame care, levelling feet usage.
  • Warranty & contact card: scan-to-register, spare-parts request QR.
  • Collection story: short copy on Jodhpur craft, kiln-drying & joinery—optional but high impact.

9) Ready-to-use pack templates

  • Dining Table KD (2 cartons): Tops 1× flat pack + legs/frame 1×; honeycomb pads; hardware pouch; 5-ply BC.
  • Sideboard (KD, 1–2 cartons): RTA body with labelled parts; drawer/door hardware sub-kit; corner boards.
  • Bed (3 cartons): headboard, rails, slats; strap-friendly masters; wall-anchor kit in red bag.
  • Wall Shelf (SRP): printed SRP tray + belly band; template sheet for wall drilling.
  • Chair/Stool (pre-assembled): foam-in-place + non-woven bag; “nest-two” carton to save DIM.

10) Timelines & deliverables

  • Dieline & pack consult: 48–72 h from brief.
  • Artwork pre-flight & colour proofs: 24 h.
  • Printed box + fit/ISTA sample: 7–14 days.

Pre-shipment pack file: labels, barcodes, ship marks, assembly manual, drop-test report.
