Technical & Workwear — uniforms • FR/Hi-Vis • medical scrubs

Industries we serve

Why IndiaUnbox: we blend India’s knit/woven depth with standards-literate finishing (FR, retro-reflective, industrial-launderable) and deliver clean technical files for EU/US markets—so your teams get durable uniforms, certified FR/Hi-Vis, and hospital-ready scrubs with the right paperwork.

What we develop & source

  • Uniforms (industrial & service): shirts, trousers, coveralls, jackets—engineered for industrial laundering and color continuity across seasons. Laundry durability validated to ISO 15797.
  • FR & Arc-flash workwear: coveralls, shirts, trousers, parkas—single or multi-norm builds (heat/flame, welding, arc).
  • High-visibility (Hi-Vis): vests, jackets, trousers—Class 1/2/3 per EN ISO 20471 and ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 types.
  • Medical scrubs & clinic wear: scrub sets, lab coats, isolation-gown options; antimicrobial finishes where permitted with claims backed by ISO 20743 / AATCC 100 data. (Barrier gowns to AAMI PB70 or EN 13795 on request.)

The standards buyers expect (we build & test to these)

FR / Heat & flame / Welding / Arc

  • EN ISO 11612 (A1/A2, B–F heat & flame).
  • EN ISO 11611 (welding & allied processes).
  • IEC 61482-2 (arc-flash garments); arc rating by IEC 61482-1-1 (open-arc, ATPV/EBT/ELIM) and/or -1-2 (box test, APC1/APC2).
  • US route (electrical): ASTM F1506 garment performance + PPE selection via NFPA 70E (arc-flash PPE category or incident-energy method).
  • US flash-fire: NFPA 2112.

High-visibility

  • EN ISO 20471 (classes by minimum fluorescent/retro-reflective areas & 360° visibility).
  • ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 (US HVSA: colors, retroreflection, configurations; updated 2020 edition).

Uniforms / Workwear durability

  • ISO 15797 (industrial wash/finish procedures for workwear).
  • Base garment EN ISO 13688 (general protective-clothing requirements; used alongside specific norms).

Medical scrubs & healthcare garments

  • AAMI PB70 liquid-barrier levels (US) for isolation/surgical gowns where specified.
  • EN 13795 (EU) surgical gowns/drapes performance levels (standard/high) when gowns are in scope.
  • Antimicrobial claims (where allowed): verify efficacy via ISO 20743 and/or AATCC 100; label claims must comply with US EPA “treated-article” exemption (40 CFR 152.25 & PRN 2000-1) or EU BPR Article 58.

Quality & test plan (you get the evidence)

  • FR/Arc: flame spread (A1/A2), heat transfer (B–F), welding spatter; arc ratings (ATPV/EBT/ELIM) or APC class; garment design audit (coverage, closures).
  • Hi-Vis: fluorescent area/placement & retroreflective performance to class; whole-garment photometric checks per the chosen standard.
  • Uniforms: shrinkage & appearance after ISO 15797 cycles; seam strength, colorfastness & pilling to buyer method matrix.
  • Scrubs: barrier (if gown spec), bioburden/cleanliness (as requested), antimicrobial efficacy (ISO 20743 / AATCC 100) with legally correct label language for target market.

How IndiaUnbox de-risks your program

  1. Spec → standards map – translate hazards into the right norm set (e.g., EN ISO 11612 A1 B1 C1 + IEC 61482-2; ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R, Class 3; AAMI PB70 Level 3).
  2. Right factories, right audits – FR finishing, reflective taping & seam-sealing lines; arc-rated fabric sources (with ASTM F1506 data); healthcare garment lines familiar with PB70/EN 13795 files.
  3. Samples → approvals – pre-compliance tests (FR, arc, photometrics, laundering) before formal certification; then notified-body/recognized-lab testing per market.
  4. Compliance pack (per PO) – test summaries, DoCs, label artwork (EN/ANSI/NFPA/ISO references), wash-care & life-cycle, and (for antimicrobial) EPA treated-article or EU BPR compliant claim text.
  5. Cost & continuity – VA/VE on fabric weights, dye/finish routes, tape selection; dual-source fabrics & trims; calendarized capacity.

  • Hi-Vis set: EN ISO 20471 Class 3 jacket + trouser or ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 Type R, Class 3 ensemble.
  • Uniform package: ISO-15797 work shirts & pants with verified shrinkage/appearance retention after preset cycles.
  • Hospital scrubs: ISO-15797 durable, optional antimicrobial finish with ISO 20743/AATCC 100 report; isolation gowns to AAMI PB70 (Level 1–4) or EN 13795 on request.
