Materials palette

Customisation & development

  • Design-to-sample: sketches/CAD → tech packs → pattern making → size set & PPS.
  • Footwear: custom lasts & grading, outsole/tooling design, branding (emboss/deboss/print), colorways, stitch programs, cushioning systems, SRC slip options.
  • Leather goods: edge painting (multi-coat), turned/flat constructions, hardware plating (nickel-safe), logo deboss/foil.
  • Upholstery: thickness 0.9–1.6+ mm, softness, finish (aniline/semi), fogging and migration targets for auto.

Quality, testing & compliance (we manage, you approve)

  • Systems: ISO 9001/14001/45001; BSCI/SEDEX/SMETA/SA8000-capable plants; LWG Silver/Gold tanneries where available.
  • RSL & chemical: Chromium VI ≤ 3 mg/kg (ND target), azo dye bans, PCP/TeCP/OPP, formaldehyde, PAHs, DMFu, phthalates, APEO/NPEO; ZDHC MRSL aligned chemistry.
  • Leather tests (ISO): tensile 3376, tear 3377, stitch tear 23910, flex (Bally 5402-1), finish adhesion 11644, rub fastness 11640/11641 (dry/wet/sweat), water vapour permeability 14268.
  • Footwear tests (EN ISO 20344/20345/ASTM): slip (SRA/SRB/SRC), upper/sole bond, flex (Bennewart), impact/compression toe, penetration resistance, anti-static/ESD, hydrolysis of PU, abrasion (DIN/NBS), hardness & density.
  • Metals & hardware: EN 1811 nickel release, salt-spray for plated parts.
  • Kids: CPSIA lead, small-parts & sharp-edge checks.

  • LWG supply chains, chrome-free / metal-free options, recycled content footbeds/outsoles, water & effluent treatment declarations, energy KPIs, FSC® packaging, plastic-lite retail packs, repair/spares programs.

Packaging & logistics

  • Mould & mildew control SOPs (humidity caps, drying rooms, safe anti-mould sachets—DMF-free), silica/desiccants, tissue & stuffers, shoe trees on request.
  • Cartonisation: pair boxing with size/colour map, carton drop tests, barcode/GS1 & FNSKU.
  • Wood pallets: ISPM-15; container loading supervision; climate-route planning for PU hydrolysis risk.
