IndiaUnbox Returns Claims Pack

If something isn’t right, we fix it fast and fairly.
This page explains what’s eligible, the evidence we need, the timelines, and how we resolve issues—plus a downloadable claim pack.

What’s covered

  • Manufacturing defects – workmanship, materials, finish mismatch vs golden sample/spec.
  • Short / over shipment – count discrepancies vs packing list.
  • Documentation & compliance – test/DoC/label gaps agreed in the PO.
  • Transit damage – carton/pallet damage in transit (process depends on Incoterms).

Not covered: change-of-mind, wear-and-tear after acceptance, storage/handling damage at destination, or modifications outside spec.

Time windows

  • Transit damage: report within 48 hours of delivery (note damage on POD).
  • Manufacturing defects: report within 14 days of discovery, within the 90-day warranty window.
  • Short/over shipment: report within 7 days of delivery.

Missed windows reduce carrier/insurance recoveries—please notify us quickly.

Incoterms & responsibilities

  • FOB/CFR/CIF: Buyer holds transit risk; file the carrier/insurance claim—we assist with docs, photos, and statements.
  • DAP/DDP: IndiaUnbox manages the carrier claim and keeps you updated.

Regardless of term, we’ll help you document and resolve fast.

How to file a claim (3 steps)

  1. Download & fill the claim form below (or use the web form).
  2. Attach evidence: outer carton/inner pack/labels, defect close-ups with scale, BL/AWB & CI/PL, inspection refs, batch & carton numbers.
  3. Send to: claims@indiaunbox.com (or your PM thread). You’ll receive an RMA number.

Our SLAs

  • Acknowledgement: within 2 business days.
  • Initial assessment: within 5 business days.
  • Resolution plan: within 7–10 business days (repair/rework, replacement, credit/discount, or carrier claim).

Remedies (what we can do)

  • Rework/repair (field fix or at factory)
  • Replacement (partial or full)
  • Credit/Refund (affected units; freight credited if we request a return)
  • Discount (for cosmetic, non-safety issues)

Disposition can require an RMA return or certified destruction (we provide a template).

Everything you need to submit and track a claim:

  • ReadMe_Policy_Snapshot – windows, evidence, roles by Incoterm.
  • Claim_Intake_Form – one row per issue; captures PO/SKU, quantities, photos, and remedy request.
  • Evidence_Checklist – photo & document prompts so nothing is missed.
  • Credit_Replacement_Calc – auto credit math (qty × price × credit %) + freight/re-inspection adjustments.
  • RMA_Disposition – approval, return address/date, replacement reference, or destruction certificate log.
  • Carrier_Claim_Template – if transit damage needs a carrier/insurer file.
  • Policy_FAQ – editable answers to common questions.

Quick tips to speed things up

  • Photograph outer cartons before opening and note any damage on the POD.
  • Keep golden sample and inspection report IDs handy.
  • For plating/finish/color claims, include a photo side-by-side with the approved swatch.

For short shipment, show carton count and C/No. ranges.
