Every supplier listed on IndiaUnbox or quoting through it agrees to this code. It reflects what global buyers and retailers expect, and what our team checks during verification, audits and inspections.
Legal and honest business
Hold valid registrations (including GST and, for exporters, an Import-Export Code) and follow Indian law and the export rules of each order.
Describe your business truthfully — say whether you manufacture or trade, and never present another factory's work, certificates or photos as your own.
No bribery, kickbacks or improper gifts to buyers, inspectors or IndiaUnbox staff. Report any request for one to support@indiaunbox.com.
People
No child labour, forced, bonded or prison labour. Workers must be of legal working age and free to leave employment.
Pay at least the legal minimum wage on time, keep working hours within the law, and pay overtime as required.
Provide a safe and healthy workplace — safe machinery and wiring, fire exits and extinguishers, protective equipment and clean water — and respect workers' rights to raise concerns.
No harassment, abuse or discrimination.
Materials and the environment
Never use ivory, tortoiseshell or CITES-restricted materials. Animal by-products such as horn and bone must be legally sourced by-products.
Meet the chemical and safety rules of the buyer's market (for example REACH, CPSIA, food-contact and ISPM 15 for wooden packaging) and disclose substitutions before you make them.
Handle waste, effluent and emissions responsibly and as required by your permits.
Quality, confidentiality and platform rules
Make goods to the approved sample and specification, allow inspections and audits, and tell us early about delays or problems.
Keep buyers' designs, drawings and RFQ details confidential, and don't copy or sell them.
Communicate through IndiaUnbox. Don't put contact details in quotes or RFQ replies, and don't try to contact a buyer outside the platform — all communication runs through IndiaUnbox.
Keep your listing accurate. We may pause or remove a listing, or withdraw a Verified badge, if this code is broken.
